NOTE

In today’s practice, I gained a better understanding of how fabric flows in relation to gesture.

Why did I draw fabric instead of focusing only on poses, or combining pose and fabric at the same time?

Most of the references provided had parts of the body covered by clothing. When the fabric was tight, I could still roughly sense the pose underneath, but in some cases the clothing was too loose and completely obscured the pose.

Because of the loose fabric, I could only focus on drawing the cloth itself directly.
