Practice Result

M3A4 eye basic form practice from multiple angles, focusing on facial feature proportions (2025-11-01)

Practice Video

NOTE

Today I started a new assignment, M3A4, which focuses on facial features.

The task structure is similar to M3A3: drawing basic forms from multiple angles—three drawings per page, across three pages—but this time limited only to facial features.

For this assignment, I plan to work on facial features in the following order:

  1. Eyes
  2. Nose
  3. Mouth
  4. Ears

This first session felt fairly normal in terms of difficulty. Since this is my first time working on M3A4, I still feel a bit stiff when dealing with more challenging angles.

I also plan to start studying anatomy more seriously, as I’ve already collected several learning resources, both digital and physical.

The main references I plan to use are Burne Hogarth: Dynamic Anatomy (physical book) and the complete Morpho series (Google Play Books).

Important note:

When drawing eyes in a 3/4 view, always leave more space for the eye that is farther from the camera.

In a 3/4 angle, the far eye should appear narrower compared to the eye closer to the viewer.
